Omega Too's curtain rods are each made to order to your
specifications, by local craftsmen. Our curtain rods offer you a
wide selection of options to dress up your windows in a truly unique
style. Each one is made to length, giving it a more finished,
cleaner look than the adjustable type. Because they are
handcrafted, minor variations occur which add interest to the
appearance.
All of our curtain rods come unfinished. The raw iron must be
sealed either by paint, lacquer, or the most popular finish, oil.
Oiling is not hard to do, and you will save money by doing it
yourself. We recommend a light rub with steel wool prior to
finishing, then rubbing or brushing on two coats of tung oil. Tung
oil is available at hardware stores. (Wear rubber gloves while
using the oil). If you don't want to do the finishing yourself, we
can provide that service. (See price list.)
The following web pages are divided up into sections on finial and
rod choices; and bracket and ring choices. For the most part, you
can mix and match parts. Please note that certain finials are made
only on round rod or only on square rod, and that some finials are
integral (their size and design allow rings to be slipped over them) and
some finials are larger and detachable, to allow rings to be put on the
rod. You can have different finials on the opposite ends of the
same rod, if you like, (asymmetrical), or you can have both finials the
same, in the traditional way.
