vintage lighting / lighting consultations
Lighting choice is an art. It is more than just picking jewelry for your home, it is a mood and a functional requirement all mixed into one.
Many times having to choose just the right light for each room can be overwhelming. Will it tie in with the rest of the room? How does it work with the rest of the lights in the house? Does it represent the right time period of our home? How low should it hang? Will we have enough light to see our food? Will we have too much light in the room? Will it block the view of the TV?...

For those of you trying to decide just how old or valuable your glass shades are, this can be very helpful.

Omega Too Lighting & Design gets a nice mention on offbeathomes.com
If you happen to be searching the world wide web for "steampunk lights" you just might come across a nice little write-up we received from Offbeat Homes.
I think they hit the nail on the head when they said " Shopping for lights lately? You probably found yourself disappointed by the white bread wood veneer choices at Home Depot."
We like to think we are a tasteful alternative to over seas mass production.
Every room needs a conversation piece. Why not have it hanging from your ceiling?

Omega Too Lighting & Design makes the Sunday SF Chronicle
There is a very nice article written by Alec Scott in today's SF Chronicle, in the Home & Garden Section about repurposed lighting. Our shop gets an amazing write up, in the same breath as design power house "Big Daddy Antiques" & lighting legend Michael McEwen.
Come Monday, of SFGate.com there will more written about Vanessa' work with AQ restaurant and the great lights at Dogwood in Oakland.
Not sure how many folks still read the paper these days, but if all the nice Facebook notes we've received this morning are any indication, it is quite a few.
